Job Description
Navitas Healthcare LLC isseeking an experienced Laboratory Assistant to support a busy clinical laboratory environment. This role involves specimen collection processing and coordination of laboratory data systems to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic testing across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specimen collection (phlebotomy) for inpatients and outpatients
- Process prepare and distribute laboratory specimens
- Ensure accurate ordering cancellation and charging of lab tests
- Operate laboratory data systems and equipment
- Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols and safety standards
- Support non-technical lab operations and workflow efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent laboratory experience required
- Active Phlebotomy Certification required
- Strong knowledge of specimen handling and lab procedures
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-volume environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Work Schedule
- 8-hour night shifts
- 5 shifts per week
- 13-week contract
- Variable schedule (10:00 PM 6:30 AM)
