Registered Nurse ICU (Travel Contract)
Location: Falmouth Massachusetts
Position Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
- Shift: Night Shift (3x12s)
- Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Rotating Holidays
- Float Requirement: May float to Med/Surg Tele units based on census and operational needs
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Falmouth MA. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment while demonstrating strong clinical judgment critical thinking and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment planning implementation and evaluation
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring intensive care interventions
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
- Operate and monitor ventilators invasive lines and hemodynamic equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Develop and update individualized patient care plans
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned
- Follow all hospital safety infection control and compliance protocols
- Participate in patient and family education as appropriate
- Float to Med/Surg Tele units when required
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- ICU/Critical Care nursing experience required
- Ability to work night shifts weekends and holidays
- Strong communication organizational and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- CCRN Certification
- TCAR Certification
- De-escalation Training Certification
- Experience with ventilator management hemodynamic monitoring and intracranial pressure monitoring
