Practical Excellence: Leading sophisticated laboratory and field investigationsfrom aseptic techniques and microscopy to ecological samplingensuring students develop precise technical skills.
Conceptual Clarity: Masterfully explaining the how and why behind complex biological theories including DNA replication metabolic pathways and the mechanisms of natural selection.
Data-Driven Success: Utilising the schools sophisticated tracking systems to identify misconceptions early and provide the exact intervention needed to ensure every student exceeds their targets.
STEM Leadership: Coordinating extra-curricular initiatives such as the Biology Olympiad or medical society to foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and professional ambition in the life sciences.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority who is passionate about making the study of life both rigorous and fascinating. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong honours degree in Biology Biomedical Science or a related life-science discipline.
Proven Track Record: Evidence of delivering exceptional learning outcomes at GCSE and A-Level with a deep understanding of AQA or OCR assessment frameworks.
Instructional Precision: The ability to demystify abstract biological concepts and support students in mastering the high-level vocabulary required for terminal examinations.
