Job Description About the Role: We are looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented Engineering Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) and legacy sustainment for our Tactical Communications sector. This is a leadership role within a premier engineering organization that designs and delivers cutting-edge communications products for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:

People Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 7 electrical engineers and interns.

Project Management: Lead electrical hardware management for a multi-channel radio portfolio including integration testing and operations.

Financial Oversight: Handle project budgeting financial reporting and creation of ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) and BOE (Basis of Estimate).

Strategic Planning: Create and maintain project schedules manage resources and oversee technical baseline creation.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Mechanical Digital RF FPGA DSP and firmware teams to ensure seamless product integration.

Operational Support: Focus on improving product cost quality yield and throughput during the transition from design to manufacturing.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree with 9 years of experience OR a Graduate Degree with 7 years. (In lieu of a degree 13 years of relevant experience).

Management Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering Project Management or leading engineering teams.

Technical Background: Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) specifically in RF Digital or PWBA capacities.

Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% if required.
Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and complex scheduling.

Experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g. Agile) and Requirements Management software (e.g. DOORS).

Knowledge of DFX analysis for high-volume manufacturing.

Understanding of the INCOSE V product development model.
