Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Flex Pool assignment supporting various medical and surgical units. The RN will float between assigned departments to provide high-quality patient care in acute care and progressive care settings. This role requires strong clinical judgment adaptability and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

• Provide direct patient care in medical surgical and step-down units
• Assess monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including wound vacs and chest tubes
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records systems
• Float to various units based on staffing and patient care needs

• 12-hour day shifts (0)
• Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation
• Holiday coverage required
• Hours not guaranteed

• Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Med-Surg and/or Step-Down settings
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification preferred

• PALS
• Procedural Sedation
• TNCC
• ENPC

• Acute care nursing experience
• Step-down/progressive care experience
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with:
  • Wound vacs
  • Chest tubes
  • Medication administration systems
  • Electronic charting systems

May float to:

• Medical Unit
• Surgical Acute Unit
• Cardiovascular Unit

• Medical Unit:
  • Days/Evenings: 1:6
  • Nights: 1:8
• Surgical Acute Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Unit-specific orientation and training provided for each assigned department.

Professional nursing attire and clean scrubs required.

• Travelers must arrive prior to assignment start to complete employee health requirements and onboarding
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical or religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documentation
