Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to support our operations team through accurate quantity takeoffs quote preparation vendor coordination and project follow-up. This role will work closely with project managers field teams subcontractors and clients to help develop competitive and accurate pricing for upcoming work.

The ideal candidate is organized responsive comfortable reviewing plans and specifications and willing to attend job walks and communicate directly with clients and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans specifications and bid documents
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing proposals
• Request and review subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Follow up with vendors subcontractors and clients regarding pricing and scope
• Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings as needed
• Review project scopes and identify potential risks or missing information
• Coordinate with operations and field teams to verify production assumptions and constructability
• Maintain estimating files bid tracking logs and proposal documentation
• Assist with bid submissions and procurement requirements
• Support project handoff meetings after award
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients vendors and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating construction civil infrastructure or related field preferred
• Ability to read and interpret plans specifications and construction documents
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer software
• Experience with takeoff or estimating software is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Valid drivers license and ability to attend local job walks and site visits

Preferred Experience

• Civil construction or infrastructure estimating experience
• Experience coordinating subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Familiarity with public works bidding processes
• Understanding of construction means and methods
