Position Overview

NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Cardiovascular Critical Care (CTICU) travel assignment in Utica NY. This position is ideal for highly skilled ICU nurses with strong cardiothoracic experience including the management of fresh heart patients.

The CTICU unit consists of 6 beds and specializes in the care of critically ill cardiovascular surgery patients.

Unit: Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU)
Beds: 6
Common Diagnoses:
- Cardiovascular surgery recovery
- Cardiogenic shock
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of CTICU or critical care experience required
Experience with fresh heart patients REQUIRED
Prior travel nursing experience REQUIRED
EPIC charting experience REQUIRED
Active RN license
ACLS certification REQUIRED
BLS certification REQUIRED
NIHSS certification REQUIRED

Schedule & Contract Information

12-hour night shifts
36 guaranteed hours per week
No on-call requirement
Daily overtime after 24 hours
Weekly overtime after 48 hours
