As part of the 737 Business Operations team this leader will be responsible for Production and Program Management a core foundation of the 737 Program Management Office. Today the team is responsible for Management System & Integration (internal and external reporting) Program Initiatives Work Statement Management Directives Program Planning Program Capital Risk Issue & Opportunity Management SMS Integration. The team also leads the Renton WA site inclusive of organizing employee events and external visits.

The selected Business Operations Manager will be expected to be able to manage conflicting priorities communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and have a strong people focus. Expectations include both being a leader of a diverse team and engaging directly with executives including the 737 VPGM as both a critical thinking teammate and ensure administrative requirements are met (presentations logistics etc).

There is a significant opportunity to evolve the engagement between the Program Management Office and our teammates throughout the production system migrating individual contributors on the team from leading data calls and the collation of data to being active members of the production system eliminating the need for a data call as the individuals are so embedded in the teams they know all the data. The selected leader will drive this change and build a platform for it to expand across all of 737 Business Operations.

This is an opportunity to leverage strong operational analytic communication problem solving and strategic skills to integrate across the 737 value stream.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages develops and motivates employees and first line managers performing business management activities.
  • Builds relationships across the value stream to enable employees to integrate and have a seat at the table.
  • Continue to evolve Management System & Integration reporting and data accuracy. Close gaps in information flow / roll up relative to rate readiness enablers integrating senior manager level actions up to the program rate readiness.
  • Ensure timeline and precise management of all 737 and Renton Site Program Initiatives Work Statement Management Directives & Program Planning.
  • Manage the 737 and Renton Site BORIS Risk Issues and Opportunities inclusive of holding the value stream accountable to active participation.
  • Plan and execute program and site events (family day customer tours etc.)
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities provides technical management of projects and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
  • Monitors business unit work statement to support planning and execution.
  • Aligns and integrates management system architecture across programs and business units.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10 years of experience in program planning project management integrated scheduling Industrial Engineering Business Operations and/or related disciplines in fast paced environments
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading project management processes continuous improvement and tool development activities
  • Experience with creating or executing organizational management systems
