Job Summary

Supervises a team of warehouse associates through organizing planning delegating coaching and leading.
Train and evaluate associates in all functions of the warehouse.
Communicates service standards to staff and train staff to perform to standards.
Holds staff accountable for achieving standards.
Coaches retrains administers discipline and assists with annual performance appraisals.
Assists with interviews for new staff.
Resolves payroll discrepancies in a timely manner
Schedule employees to meet the demands of the warehouse.
Reviews Profit and Loss statements and adhere to the budget. Maintains appropriate files.
Orders warehouse supplies.
Monitors and enforces safety procedures.
Maintains security of the warehouse.
Utilizes resources to ensure that product is received and processed in a timely manner.
Inspects merchandise for damages and counts for accuracy.
Verifies that all items listed on the purchase order and packing list were received.
Resolves any discrepancies and files any claims with the appropriate vendor.
Ensures delivery of merchandise to the appropriate stores as indicated on the purchase orders.
Communicates merchandise shortages and outages to the appropriate manager.
Prepares products for shipment to vendors and customers.
Establishes excellent rapport and professional relationships when dealing with departments guests vendors and delivery personnel.
Conducts inventories as requested by his/her supervisor.
Work closely with buyers to review product product arrival dates and quantities.
Monitors ship dates and cancel dates of products.
Maintains warehouse equipment. Monitors rotation of products.
Qualifications:
One to two years previous warehouse/inventory control experience required. Two to three years supervisory experience preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal leadership team building and problem solving skills. Must have working knowledge of computers to include Microsoft Word and Dataworks preferred. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be able to work well with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in excessive heat cold and noise. Able to push and pull heavy materials weighing up to 100 pounds. Must be able to maneuver throughout the shops casino and hotel areas to deliver products. Must be able to reach below and above the shoulders bend stoop crouch and kneel while performing receiving duties. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Must be able to operate and use the following equipment: cart two wheeler labeling gun Monarch labeling machine fax copier Compaq computer and phones. Ability to utilize space to its full capacity. Ability to read zone charts for shipping purposes.
