Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Fuse Finance

Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking a hands-on analytical and strategic Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) who is passionate about accelerating Amazons growth.
This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized corporate business development team working on strategic partnerships to accelerate Amazons flywheel by distributing Amazons digital services. Specifically the Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) team is a group chartered with distribution of Amazons digital services through partnerships with Mobile Operators MVPDs (video distributors) and OEMs worldwide.

This position requires a candidate who can successfully tackle multiple projects in a start-up environment. The right individual will have exceptional finance skills business partnering skills and strong business judgment. You will need to work collaboratively with internal finance and business teams to understand their business priorities and economics. We dive deep and provide thoughtful and rigorous analysis yet are creative adaptable and action-oriented to drive growth by directly influencing leaders decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a first-principles thinker enjoys solving complex problems dealing with ambiguity and working effectively with cross-functional teams. The candidate also thrives in fast-paced settings that are constantly evolving.



Key job responsibilities
- Influence leaders by delivering actionable financial insights that drive business performance.
- Build financial models and business cases in order to maximize the strategic impact of the MBD partnerships including profitability and ROI analyses and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with business teams on creating new methods in assessing incremental value in strategic partnerships and customer segments.

- Own WW FP&A process for Preloads including Guidance OP1/2 3YF as well as month-end partner expense accruals
- Lead Monthly Business Review (MBR) process delivering commentary on trends variances key drivers business performance.
- Track and report on headcount (HC) and Operating Expenses (OpEx)
- Drive continuous reporting improvement on the monthly financial and operational metrics
- Provide a strong controllership environment and improve controls over operational and financial metrics
- Be go-to-person for financial questions inputs and queries for Preloads business.
- Help finance team drive standardization simplify processes and build scalable solutions.


About the team
Amazon Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance is a small tight-knit team who values strong-analytical individuals who also think creatively can quickly learn business dynamics in the space theyre operating in and proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Amazons businesses.

- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or MBA

- Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills in working with senior finance and business leaders
- Exceptional analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel with demonstrated ability to build financial models and create business cases
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Demonstrated financial and/or analytical experience including familiarity with concepts of forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and/or data interpretation and analysis and/or accounting principles and concepts
- Ability to meet tight deadlines prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced dynamic ever-growing and often ambiguous environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
