Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Join a leading maternal-fetal medicineled hospitalist program in the vibrant city of San Jose California. This role offers you the chance to be part of an esteemed OB Hospitalist team at a dynamic facility that emphasizes advanced maternal-fetal care within Silicon Valleys premier healthcare environment. Experience a high-acuity and supportive clinical setting that provides top-tier neonatal and anesthesia support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage within a Maternal-Fetal Medicineled practice
• Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests
• Respond to and manage MFM patient transports (approximately 56 per month)
• Assist in cesarean sections (assist in 12 cases average of 03 cases)
• Conduct inpatient rounding including postpartum patients
• Participate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
• Perform gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients
• Coordinate care within a high-acuity obstetric setting supported by:
• Level III NICU
• 24-hour dedicated Anesthesiology coverage for Labor & Delivery
• 24-hour Neonatology coverage
• 24-hour Pediatric Hospitalist coverage
• Work alongside a separate on-call GYN surgical service for gynecologic surgical management
• Deliver comprehensive obstetric hospitalist care in a high-volume multidisciplinary hospital environment

Qualifications:

• Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Active California license (or in process)
• Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred)
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active)
• Interest in full-time or part-time employment
• DEA (must be obtained prior to start)

License and Certification Requirements:

• BC/BE OB-GYN qualification
• Active California medical license
