Job Summary
About the role
An Operations Manager in the manufacturing sector is responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes to ensure that organizational objectives related to safety quality and customer satisfaction are met. This role involves strategic planning team leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Manager serves as a critical link between upper management and production teams ensuring that day-to-day operations align with the companys overall goals. They are also tasked with fostering a culture of excellence safety and collaboration across the organization.
What you will do
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production goals including meeting safety quality and delivery standards.
Act as a liaison between upper management and production teams ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives. Lead and mentor production teams to build a high-performing workforce focused on achieving operational excellence.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules resources and workflows to optimize efficiency and output.
Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives focusing on enhancing productivity and reducing waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations promoting a zero-incident culture.
Facilitate regular production meetings to review progress address challenges and maintain on-time delivery commitments.
Develop and maintain documentation of production processes standards and procedures
What you will need
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management with a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex projects.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
Proficiency in production planning scheduling and quality control.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
