DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: This Junior Tennis Professional position focuses on instructing and supervising junior players in a structured and engaging environment. Responsibilities include planning organizing and leading after-school group lessons held several days per week as well as supporting seasonal programming such as morning camps full-day camps and afternoon group sessions during the summer. The role involves providing tennis instruction coordinating activities and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. This position is responsible for but not limited to:
- Provide beginning to intermediate instruction in camps and group lessons in a professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Expected to work a varied schedule including some weekends as needed
- Other administrative as assigned by the Supervisory staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: High School playing experience or working with children preferred
- Must hold or obtain within 90 days CPR/AED and other certifications (provided by the Glenview Park District)
SCHEDULING AND PAY:
This is a part-time year round position.
- Indoor Season Schedule: Classes are held Monday Friday after 4:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM-12:00PM. Weekly hours typically range from 1-6 hours.
- Summer Schedule: Summer hours may range from approximately 12.5-35 hours per week
- Morning Camp: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Full-day camp: 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
- Pay:
- $17 per hour for group lessons depending on qualifications
- $20 per hour for private lessons
- $15 per hour for administrative duties
