Overnight Payment Processing Operator Document Scanner

Pay:$19.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM or until completion
Shift Start Time: 9:00 PM
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Perm

We are hiring dependable and detail-oriented professionals for an Overnight Payment Processing Operator role in a fast-paced production and banking operations environment. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in remittance processing lockbox operations payment processing banking operations document handling or high-volume production environments.

This role supports critical payment processing functions by operating imaging and extraction equipment processing financial documents and ensuring quality accuracy and compliance with client and banking standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate imaging and extraction equipment including OPEX Falcon and OPEX-150 machines
• Prepare batches of work by extracting checks and remittance documents from envelopes
• Scan and verify processed work for accuracy using Falcon equipment
• Review and verify negotiability of checks based on customer-specific processing instructions
• Balance and reconcile paper documentation and payment records
• Maintain productivity and quality standards in a deadline-driven production environment
• Demonstrate proficiency across multiple processing complexities workflows and department equipment
• Support both team goals and individual production targets
• Ensure compliance with all customer banking audit security and operational procedures
• Follow standard operating procedures and client-specific instructions accurately
• Assist in multiple operational areas as needed based on business demands

Qualifications

• Previous remittance processing lockbox payment processing or banking operations experience preferred
• Experience in production environments with quotas and deadlines strongly preferred
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good eye-hand coordination
• Ability to analyze and follow client standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 15-20 pounds
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Flexible adaptable and willing to learn multiple areas of the operation
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Strong reliability and commitment to overnight shift work

Work Environment

This is a high-volume production environment focused on accuracy compliance and meeting strict deadlines. Candidates must be comfortable working overnight hours maintaining productivity standards and handling repetitive processing tasks with precision and consistency.
