M365 Administrator

Job Description

We are partnering with a well-established organisation in Perths southern suburbs to source an experienced Microsoft 365 Administrator for an exciting contract engagement. This is a hands-on technical role where you will take ownership of the organisations M365 environment driving the deployment management and governance of critical Microsoft cloud services.

You will be embedded within a collaborative IT team and have the opportunity to deliver measurable improvements across device management collaboration platforms data governance and compliance. The role:

Microsoft Intune & Endpoint Deployment

• Design configure and maintain Intune policies for device compliance and conditional access
• Manage Windows iOS and Android device enrolment and lifecycle using Autopilot and Company Portal
• Package and deploy applications via Intune including LOB and Microsoft Store apps
• Troubleshoot endpoint issues and maintain security baselines across the device fleet
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce MDM/MAM policies and zero-trust principles

SharePoint Online Administration

• Administer SharePoint Online sites site collections permissions and information architecture
• Design and implement SharePoint-based intranet and document management solutions
• Manage external sharing policies storage quotas and tenant-level SharePoint configuration
• Support migration projects from on-premises SharePoint or file share environments
• Create and maintain Power Automate flows integrated with SharePoint libraries

Microsoft Teams Administration

• Manage Teams policies calling plans meeting configurations and governance frameworks
• Administer Teams Rooms Direct Routing and telephony integrations where applicable
• Implement and enforce Teams lifecycle management including naming conventions and expiry policies
• Monitor Teams usage via admin centre analytics and address adoption or performance issues
• Configure guest access external federation and data retention policies within Teams

Microsoft Purview (Compliance & Data Governance)

• Configure and manage sensitivity labels data loss prevention (DLP) policies and retention labels
• Administer eDiscovery audit logging and content search within the Purview compliance portal
• Support information protection initiatives including MIP labelling and encryption
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Australian Privacy Act ISO 27001 etc.)
• Work with stakeholders to define and implement data classification and governance frameworks

Your skills and experience:

• Proven hands-on experience across the M365 administration stack in a production environment
• Strong working knowledge of Intune Autopilot and endpoint management best practices
• Demonstrable experience administering SharePoint Online at a tenant level
• Microsoft Teams administration experience including voice/telephony is highly regarded
• Practical exposure to Microsoft Purview compliance tools DLP sensitivity labels and eDiscovery
• Solid understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID Conditional Access and identity management
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for M365 administration tasks
• Ability to work independently and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills able to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
