As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions working closely with our healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal diseases and disorders
- Perform endoscopic procedures as necessary
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop treatment plans
- Provide patient education regarding gastrointestinal health
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
- Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills in gastroenterology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift Information: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
No call required
Daily Volume: 12-15 patients
Procedures: Upper and lower GI endoscopy sigmoidoscopy colonoscopy biopsy and foreign body removal
EMR: Epic
