Position Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist II provides services to patients and physicians to assist in diagnosis and/or treatment of a variety of conditions. Assists with the performance of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures under the direct supervision of a Licensed Practitioner. This position is also responsible for participating in the development and design of the Interventional Radiology program at Childrens MN by contributing to program and facility design process/procedure development and documentation and training. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures. The Interventional Radiology Technologist also maintains skills in radiography and/or other imaging specialties to provide cross-coverage and supplemental staffing as required.
License/Certification/Registration required Yes
* Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
* Current Basic Life Support CPR Certification (BLS)
Education:
* Associates Degree in Radiology or the equivalent required.
Experience:
Requires:
* At least 2 years of IR experience.
Prefers:
* 3-5 years of IR experience.
* Pediatric IR experience.
* Lead Tech or people/process leadership experience.
* Experience developing process/procedures and/or programs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Demonstrate independent work initiative sound judgment diplomacy tact and professional demeanor; sound leadership qualities and a desire to provide guidance to others; ability to formally or informally lead and direct the work of others.

* Possess knowledge of specific radiology modality procedures and their application to the pediatric population and continuing throughout the stages of life; possess knowledge of ultrasound procedures and their application to the pediatric population.
* Physical ability and stamina (bending standing squatting lifting transferring and standing for extended periods of time) sufficient to be able to manage busy workload with patients of varying ages diagnoses and ability to cooperate.
The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employees scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
