5 STAR Event Services is hiring energetic reliable and safety-focused individuals to support security operations during the American Clean Power Association Conference that starts on May 27th 2026 through June 6th 2026.This is a high-profile large-scale professional event requiring attentive personnel to ensure a safe welcoming and organized environment for all attendees.

Pay Range: Up to $15 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Access Control

• Manage entry and exit points for conference halls restricted areas and staff-only zones
• Verify badges credentials and authorized access

Guest & Attendee Screening

• Conduct bag checks and screening procedures
• Enforce prohibited-item policies in accordance with venue guidelines

Customer-Focused Guest Services

• Provide directions for sessions exhibits and amenities
• Assist attendees with navigation inside the convention center
• Maintain a professional and approachable presence

Crowd & Traffic Flow Management

• Monitor and guide pedestrian traffic during peak conference times
• Keep walkways emergency exits and exhibit areas clear
• Support loading dock and vehicle flow where needed

Incident Response & Issue Resolution

• Respond to attendee concerns calmly and professionally
• Report incidents suspicious activity or safety concerns promptly
• Follow company protocols for documentation and escalation

Policy Enforcement

• Ensure compliance with conference and venue rules
• Maintain vigilance in high-traffic and high-value areas

Emergency & Safety Support

• Assist with evacuations or emergency procedures if necessary
• Provide escorts for staff VIPs or attendees when required

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must also possess the following qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable forms of communication and transportation
• LEVEL 2 SECURITY LICENSE(Level II Training & Exam provided for free. All applicants are required to apply pass exam submit to fingerprinting and criminal background check.)

Skills and Abilities:

• A strong customer-service attitude and professional appearance
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• The ability to understand and interpret credentials documents signs rules policies and instructions
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients patrons and other employees
• The ability to multi-task cross-train and learn new skills quickly
• The ability to remain calm and level-headed under high-pressure situations

Physical Requirements:

• Full physical and mental dexterity with the ability to walk stoop kneel crouch hear see and speak English clearly
• The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (shift duration)
• The ability to lift 25lbs.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced high-energy conference setting with constant activity
• Large crowds and high attendee volume throughout the event
• Indoor convention center environment with occasional assignments in outdoor or open-air areas (e.g. entrances loading zones)
• Events operate rain or shine; employees should be prepared for varying conditions when assigned outside
• Reasonable accommodations are provided to support employee comfort including tents hydration and weather-appropriate gear when needed
