Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and provide technical support to radiologists in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise excellent patient care skills and experience working with ultrasound imaging equipment and PACS systems.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures according to departmental protocols
Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while ensuring patient safety
Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physician workstations
Maintain clean and perform minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment
Ensure adequate supplies and proper equipment functionality
Assist with training and orientation of new ultrasound staff
Schedule examinations answer telephones and coordinate patient transport as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and follow established imaging procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred
Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology requiredORHigh School Diploma/GED with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program
ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required
BLS certification required
Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with PACS systems Microsoft Office and imaging software preferred
Excellent attention to detail and patient care skills
