Locum Surgery Cardiothoracic NP

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Join a dedicated cardiac surgery team at a leading medical center in Loveland CO! This facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology and provides exceptional care to adult patients. We are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or First Assist to work full-time and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality cardiovascular surgery.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time position: 4 ten-hour shifts per week
On-call: one night per week and one weekend per month
Start date: September 2026 - credentialing process takes approximately 3 months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform proficiently in various cardiac procedures including CABG with EVH and general CV/thoracic surgery.
• Manage adult patient care in the surgical setting with an expectation of 1-3 surgeries per day.
• Collaborate with a team of 5 physicians and a variety of mid-levels without the need to supervise other providers.
• Coordinate patient care with on-site laboratory and X-ray services.
• Maintain hospital privileges in compliance with facility requirements.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified - REQUIRED
• OR First Assist Certification - REQUIRED
• Active Colorado license - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Minimum 6 months experience in cardiac surgeries including valve surgeries and aortic procedures - REQUIRED
• Ability to insert and remove arterial lines - REQUIRED
• COVID vaccination - REQUIRED
• Clean background/malpractice history - HIGHLY PREFERRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nurse Practitioner license for the state of Colorado.
• BLS certification.
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
