Junior AI Productivity Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for an AI Productivity Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be an AI enthusiast with special interest in applying AI models agents and tools.

As an AI Productivity Engineer you will be a member of our internal AI Adoption Chapter. Your primary focus will be prototyping and integrating AI-driven tools to enhance our engineering productivity reduce time-to-market and increase the quality of our deliverables. You will collaborate across teams to bridge the gap between emerging AI capabilities and our core developer workflows.
Role & Responsibilities
Internal Product Discovery & Innovation
Feasibility Assessments: Help evaluate whether a proposed AI solution is technically possible before the company commits resources to a pilot.
Technology Scouting: Stay current on AI research new model releases (Open Source vs. Proprietary) and emerging development patterns (like Agentic workflows) to propose experiments and pilots.
Solution Design & Integration
Interface Development: Create the entry points for AIwhether that is a CLI tool a web dashboard an IDE plugin or a Slack integrationto ensure tools are where engineers already work.
Prompt Architecture: Develop and maintain a library of System Instructions and templates that ensure AI outputs are consistent structured and follow company coding styles.
Data Orchestration: Manage the flow of data between internal systems (GitLab Jira Confluence) and AI models ensuring the right context is provided for every request.
Technical Documentation: Help maintain our Engineering Handbook documenting how to use internal AI proxies how to write effective prompts for the companys specific codebase and how to troubleshoot common AI errors.
Engineering Support: Help other engineers to understand how to use AI tools and procedures.
Minimum qualifications
Experience
Practical Software Background: Experience as a Software Engineer. We value candidates who have moved beyond tutorial projects and have built tools used by other people (even if only internally).
Prototyping Track Record: Proven ability to take an ambiguous idea and turn it into a functional technical proof-of-concept (PoC) in a short timeframe.
Experience with AI: Experience (at least in significant personal projects) integrating LLMs into software workflows and using AI tools to improve productivity in software development activities.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Python and/or .
API & Integration: Good understanding of RESTful APIs webhooks and asynchronous processing. You should be comfortable wiring different SaaS tools together.
AI Orchestration: Familiarity with the Applied AI toolkitthis includes prompt engineering patterns (Few-shot Chain-of-Thought) structured data extraction (JSON mode/Function calling) and basic knowledge of how RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) works.
Modern Dev Environment: Familiarity with Git Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines. Since you are building for other engineers you must follow the standards they expect.
Soft Skills
Pragmatic Problem Solving: A preference for simple and working over complex and experimental. You know when a simple script is better than a complex AI agent.
Adaptability: A high learning rate. The AI field changes weekly; you must be someone who enjoys reading documentation for tools that were released yesterday.
Bonus Points
Active participation in the AI community (open-source contributions hackathons or technical blogging).
Knowledge of Vector Databases (e.g. Pinecone Weaviate or pgvector).
Experience with LLM Observability tools (e.g. LangSmith Arize Phoenix) to track prompt performance.
Knowledge of MCP server development multi-agent apps prompt structuring tools agent programming frameworks or spec-driven development frameworks.
