Join Our Surgical Team in Lansing MI!

UMH Sparrow Lansing Main Hospital is seeking a Board Certified Physician in Hand Surgery for a locum opportunity. As a 24-hour trauma call provider at an ACS Verified Level One Trauma Center you will play a critical role in ensuring comprehensive hand surgical care to our community. Our facility is well-equipped and located centrally making it an ideal environment for both you and your patients.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide 24-hour trauma call coverage approximately 10 days per month.
Handle in-person responses when surgical procedures are required.
Conduct patient consults follow-ups and procedures as scheduled.
Perform hand-related procedures traumatic hand reconstruction general plastic surgery and minor burn care.
Ensure timely and effective communication within the trauma team to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Orthopedic Plastic or General Surgery (REQUIRED).
Completed Fellowship in Hand Surgery (REQUIRED).
Active Michigan license (REQUIRED); full license required no compact or IMLC accepted.
BLS and ACLS certification highly preferred.
Self-Query NPDB (must be pulled within the month) at the time of presentation (REQUIRED).

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Michigan medical license.
Board Certification in Hand Surgery.
BLS and ACLS certifications are highly preferred.
