Location: Jamaica NY
Type: Contract
Shift: 08:00 AM 04:00 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week (5x7s)
Pay Rate:$78 to $88/hr
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Jamaica NY.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety and regulatory guidelines
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging studies
- Ensure radiation safety and compliance with ALARA standards
- Monitor patients during and after radiopharmaceutical administration
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for diagnostic interpretation
- Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year Nuclear Medicine Technology experience required
- Completion of accredited Radiologic Technologist training program required
- ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification required
- NYSDOH Radiology Tech with Injection license required
- NYSDOH Nuclear Medicine Technologist license required
- Ability to work independently in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- BLS Certification preferred
