About the position
The Senior Coordinator is responsible for the provision of high-quality complex clinical case management services to students including secondary consultation and advice wellbeing support case management crisis intervention including risk assessment care coordination advocacy supportive counselling referral and evaluation of options and services to meet students comprehensive psychosocial and wellbeing needs.
This role will also facilitate the coordination of care and individual support for students experiencing significant and complex psychosocial issues that are impacting on their personal and academic addition this role will provide victim-centred and trauma-informed interventions and support for students who have experienced violence harassment bullying or who have been impacted by other students problem behaviour and include wellbeing support for students going through university student conduct procedures.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Qualifications in Social Work or Psychology with significant time post qualification and extensive relevant experience in case management counselling and wellbeing support. Eligibility for membership of the AASW (Social Work) or registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated experience in case management roles with experience in managing complex psychosocial issues behavioural management crisis intervention risk assessment and managing a demanding case load.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills especially the capacity to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience and success in working with diverse client groups including the ability to engage and build rapport with complex clients.
