The Ritz-Carlton Berlin is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead one of Germanys most distinguished luxury hotels.

Perfectly positioned in the heart of Potsdamer Platz the hotel blends contemporary elegance with legendary service creating experiences that are both deeply personal and unmistakably refined. As part of the globally celebrated The Ritz Carlton portfolio the property represents a benchmark for luxury hospitality within Berlins vibrant cultural and business landscape.

This appointment requires a sophisticated and commercially astute leader with the ability to inspire teams cultivate trusted owner and stakeholder relationships and deliver extraordinary guest experiences while protecting the integrity of one of hospitalitys most respected luxury brands.

The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence bringing the presence emotional intelligence and leadership capability required to guide a complex luxury operation in a highly competitive international market.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education & Experience

  • Significant luxury hospitality leadership experience ideally including previous General Manager or Hotel Manager responsibility within internationally recognised luxury brands.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex hotel operations and delivering sustainable financial performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing executive teams within luxury environments.
  • Experience working closely with ownership groups regional leadership teams and luxury brand stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of luxury guest expectations and service culture.
  • European market experience strongly preferred.
  • German speaker

  • Oversees all aspects of hotel operations ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and operational consistency across all departments.
  • Creates an environment where every interaction reflects the legendary standards and personalised philosophy of The Ritz Carlton
  • Maintains a visible presence within the operation connecting meaningfully with guests Ladies & Gentlemen and stakeholders.
  • Drives innovation and continuous improvement while protecting brand standards and luxury positioning.

Driving Commercial Performance

  • Develops and executes strategic business plans aligned with ownership objectives and regional priorities.
  • Leads all commercial disciplines to maximise market share profitability and long-term positioning.
  • Uses market intelligence competitive insights and luxury consumer trends to shape business strategy.
  • Balances short-term performance with sustainable brand growth and reputation management.

Inspiring People & Culture

  • Builds a culture where talent feels empowered valued and inspired to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Leads and develops a high-performing Executive Committee with a strong focus on succession planning and leadership growth.
  • Champions a collaborative inclusive and high-accountability environment.
  • Acts as a role model for the values behaviours and service philosophy that define The Ritz-Carlton experience.

Owner & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Establishes trusted and credible relationships with ownership representatives and regional leadership teams.
  • Provides clear strategic direction and commercially balanced decision-making.
  • Represents the hotel within the local luxury business and hospitality community.
  • Navigates complex stakeholder dynamics with professionalism diplomacy and confidence.
