Were hiring a Director of Contract Manufacturing Supplements to own the full external manufacturing function for every non-beverage product in our portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Product this role is the connective tissue between R&D Supply Chain Quality Finance and Commercial - responsible for translating innovation into products that ship on time on spec and on budget. The scope spans powders gummies stikpaks and nutraceuticals across a growing network of co-manufacturing partners.
This is a role for a builder whos equally at home in a contract negotiation and on a production floor.
Who You Are:
- 68 years managing co-manufacturers in the dietary supplement nutraceutical or functional health and wellness space - this is your core not a tangent
- Deep hands-on expertise across multiple dosage forms: powders gummies stikpaks and nutraceuticals
- Technically fluent in supplement regulatory requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP NSF USP) and can hold manufacturers accountable to them
- Proven track record taking products from ideation through scale-up and into market - on time on spec and within budget
- Equally comfortable negotiating a manufacturing agreement and standing on a factory floor conducting a production audit
- Thrives in fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where the brand is growing fast and the stakes are high
What Youll Do:
Partner Management & Strategy
- Own and develop a portfolio of supplement co-manufacturing partners - from identification evaluation and onboarding through ongoing performance management SLAs and contract negotiation
- Serve as JuneShine Brands primary relationship owner with all supplement manufacturers; conduct regular site visits capability assessments and cGMP audits to drive continuous improvement and hold partners to standard
- Directly manage and develop the External Quality Manager Supplements
Production & Operations
- Translate demand forecasts into detailed executable production schedules across the co-manufacturing network; own on-time delivery to our distribution commitments
- Partner with Supply Chain to align raw material and packaging supply at co-manufacturers manage inventory levels to optimize working capital and resolve production bottlenecks and non-conformances in real time
Quality Compliance & Cost
- Ensure all supplement products meet FDA cGMP NSF and internal quality standards; drive CAPA resolution with manufacturing partners and ensure certifications and documentation stay current
- Own COGS targets tolling costs and budget performance; lead cost reduction and efficiency initiatives across the network without compromising quality or delivery; establish KPIs and report regularly to the VP of Product on network health risks and opportunities
- Support label accuracy and product specification integrity across all externally manufactured supplement SKUs
Innovation & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with R&D on new product development - co-manufacturer selection trial runs scale-up and full commercial launch readiness across new supplement formats and SKUs
- Collaborate with Marketing Sales and Product to align on timelines specs and launch priorities; lead co-manufacturer onboarding projects from contract execution through first commercial production
Must Haves:
- 21 years of age or older at the time of application
- 6-8 years of experience in contract or co-manufacturing management within dietary supplements nutraceuticals or functional health and wellness
- Demonstrated expertise across multiple supplement dosage forms: powders gummies stikpaks and nutraceuticals
- Strong working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 111 cGMP NSF and USP compliance requirements for dietary supplements
- Proven track record managing R&D scale-up formula transfer and new product commercialization at contract manufacturers
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite SAP or Oracle) for production planning and operational reporting
- Hands-on experience managing COGS tolling costs and gross margin performance
- Ability and willingness to travel 2535% to co-manufacturing facilities
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the CPG beverage or functional beverage category in addition to supplements
- Familiarity with clean label organic or third-party certified supplement production (NSF Sport Informed Sport Non-GMO Project)
- Background in supply chain or procurement adjacent to contract manufacturing
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth startup-paced environment where the playbook is still being written
- Strong communicator who can translate operational complexity into clear updates for leadership and cross-functional partners

- $150000.00-$170000.00 per year
- The final offer will be based on several factors including experience skills overall expertise and location
