Job Summary

The Oshkosh Corporation Vocational segment leverages the power of our people brands and strength in technology to improve the safety cleanliness and productivity of our communities. The Vocational segment includes market leading brands McNeilus Oshkosh S-Series IMT Pierce MAXIMETAL Oshkosh Airport Products and Frontline Communications. Our purpose-built products serve our communities with carefully designed and engineered refuse trucks front-discharge mixer trucks fire apparatus Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting trucks service vehicles and command trucks. Our products are designed to perform under the toughest conditions.

The Cycle Counter will be responsible for counting material and product inventory balances. This role will research inventory on hand count variances through JD Edwards displays and hard copy transaction documents to identify cause of errors. The objective of this role is to maintain inventory levels to prevent reoccurring errors and keep inventory levels accurate to support delivery of parts to the correct place time and quantity.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Count and reconcile the in-house inventory balances and the off-site supplier inventory.
  • Serve as internal production planner for manufactured items within assigned location; includes maintaining work orders release of work orders production schedules sales change materials management and actioning reschedules.
  • Research and determine cause of errors and communicate errors using corrective action.
  • Conduct a monthly bill of materials back flush deduction and location maintenance audits.
  • End of life part maintenance and disposition.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify inventory issues that arise.
  • Partner with internal and external customers daily with the maximum level of customer service to ensure timely and satisfactory results.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six (6) or more months of applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving materials or products.
  • Forklift JDE and cycle count experience
  • Experience in a high-volume warehouse or a related area.
