Senior Paralegal Mass Tort Litigation
Our client a collaborative close-knit small midsized law firm is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join their team.
The Senior Paralegal is responsible for managing a high-volume mass tort caseload while also supporting team development training and operational oversight within the department. This role combines hands-on litigation support with mentorship responsibilities and works closely with attorneys legal assistants junior paralegals and department leadership.
The ideal candidate is highly organized proactive detail-oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced high-volume plaintiffs litigation environment. Strong communication leadership and time management skills are essential as this role works closely with attorneys legal assistants junior paralegals and department leadership.

Responsibilities
- Manage and track mass tort cases deadlines and case files.
- Draft and serve discovery pleadings and client communications.
- Assist attorneys with depositions hearings and court preparation.
- Maintain accurate reporting and quality control through Litify and related systems.
- Lead case team meetings and ensure compliance with firm procedures and workflows.
- Mentor and support legal assistants and junior paralegals.
- Assist with onboarding training staffing recommendations and team evaluations.
- Communicate proactively with clients attorneys and team members regarding case status and next steps.
- Help develop case criteria reporting processes and matter management systems.
- Prior paralegal experience in a plaintiffs law firm required.
- Experience handling high-volume litigation matters.
- Strong organizational communication and time management skills.
- Experience filing in Illinois state and federal courts.
- Familiarity with litigation drafting discovery and legal case management systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
