YOUR ROLE
As a part of the Global Operational Purchasing team you will be responsible for regional coordination across Europe and execution of operational purchasing activities for assigned commodities and suppliers. Your mission is to ensure the continuous availability of raw materials and goods to support both short-term production needs and long-term planning requirements. You will play a crucial role in securing the right materials in the right quantity and quality at the right time - while maintaining optimal inventory levels across PF including in remote working environments.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Purchase Orders (PO) and Distribution Orders (DO) in line with operational procedures and supply-demand requirements
- Execute planning activities (e.g. rescheduling action messages) to ensure material availability and optimize inventory levels
- Identify resolve and escalate material shortages where necessary
- Expedite critical deliveries and evaluate alternative sourcing or logistics solutions (e.g. open market premium freight)
- Monitor supplier performance (OTD quality reliability) and drive issue resolution
- Coordinate engineering changes and alternative sourcing solutions with internal teams and suppliers
- Collaborate cross-functionally (R&D SCM Quality Purchasing) to secure supply and mitigate risks
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through effective coordination with global supply chain partners
- Monitor and control inventory performance against defined KPIs and guidelines
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
- Ensure data accuracy and proper maintenance of ERP planning parameters
- Analyse supply chain performance identify root causes and implement corrective actions
LEADERSHIP/TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective collaboration and supply continuity
- Align team objectives with company strategy departmental goals and KPIs
- Supports supervisor in balancing team workload and optimize resource utilization
- Prepare and report operation-related KPIs conduct SFM and provide weekly reports to management
- Provide guidance to team on operational issues escalations and process/system improvements
- Support performance evaluations and drive team capability development
- Ensure adherence to standardized processes and operational best practices
- Lead internal and cross-functional projects ensuring timely execution
- Prepare clear summaries and recommendations for approvals and escalations
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree in Supply Chain Management Economics or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a structured manufacturing environment with a focus on material planning supply chain or purchasing
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams
- Strong proficiency in material planning tools systems and systems (e.g. ERP/MRP demand planning inventory management)
- International work experience or exposure to global operations is preferred
