Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Job Summary
Thenamaris is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join the Human Resources Department.
The successful candidate will support payroll and compensation & benefits operations ensuring accuracy compliance confidentiality and high-quality employee service within a fast-paced shipping environment.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working closely with the Compensation & Benefits Officer the key role responsibilities include monthly payroll processing submissions to authorities such as ERGANI EFKA and FMY maintenance of HR and payroll records and support of compensation & benefits reporting and compliance activities.
The role also supports onboarding and offboarding processes employee contract administration as well as employee requests mainly related to compensation and addition the Payroll & Benefits Specialist administers employee benefits and job tools including insurance programs credit cards and mobile phones while contributing to reporting and HR process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related discipline
- A relevant postgraduate degree will be considered an asset
- 35 years of relevant experience in payroll and compensation & benefits administration within a corporate environment ideally in an in-house HR department
- Excellent PC literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with payroll software and HRMS systems is required
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional service-oriented approach
- High level of integrity reliability and confidentiality
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable)
