Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Thenamaris is looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join the Human Resources Department.

The successful candidate will support payroll and compensation & benefits operations ensuring accuracy compliance confidentiality and high-quality employee service within a fast-paced shipping environment.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working closely with the Compensation & Benefits Officer the key role responsibilities include monthly payroll processing submissions to authorities such as ERGANI EFKA and FMY maintenance of HR and payroll records and support of compensation & benefits reporting and compliance activities.

The role also supports onboarding and offboarding processes employee contract administration as well as employee requests mainly related to compensation and addition the Payroll & Benefits Specialist administers employee benefits and job tools including insurance programs credit cards and mobile phones while contributing to reporting and HR process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Economics Business Administration or a related discipline
• A relevant postgraduate degree will be considered an asset
• 35 years of relevant experience in payroll and compensation & benefits administration within a corporate environment ideally in an in-house HR department
• Excellent PC literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with payroll software and HRMS systems is required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional service-oriented approach
• High level of integrity reliability and confidentiality
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Fulfilled military obligations (where applicable)
