Essential Responsibilities

  • Receives material coming into the building by vendors customers or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
  • Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list and/ orprepares a receiving report if none is available.
  • Assistcommon carriers and warehouse personnel with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
  • ProcessespaperworkregardingUPS shipmentsincludeverifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct applying the correct UPS postage tape following customer shipping instructions and insuring the shipment when necessary.
  • Gathers assembled orders that are in carts andverifiestheir quantities and descriptions.
  • Counts and writestotalquantity of merchandise being shipped on the invoice.
  • Packseach order into a container andarrangesthe container onto a shelf according to truck route.
  • Assembles customer orders to be shipped via UPS.
  • Stocks incoming orders onto shelves.
  • Verifies quantities and items being shipped against the invoice.
  • Scanssupplier packing slips receiving documents and any necessary paperwork intoMetaViewer as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment and assume responsibility forimmediatelyaddressing safety concerns.
  • Maintain warehouse and keep shelves andfloorin clean condition.
  • Follow all established warehouse Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules andoperatein a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Associate Skills Knowledge and Education Requirements: The Warehouse Associate should preferably possess a high school diploma or GED valid drivers license. Additionally the ideal candidate should preferably possess the following skills:

  • Previousworking experience overseeing general supply chain management processes in a physicaldemandswarehouse environment.
  • This includes standing continuouslylifting upto 50lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity.
  • This includes operatingforkliftscherrypickerpallet wrappers and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong time management skills along with multi-taskingprioritizingand problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy in processing orders andmaintainingrecords.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with co-workers organize and prioritize job tasks to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Goal oriented and self-motivated withabilityto work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong industrial b and c-class levelcomponentknowledge including but not limited to mechanical/ electrical products fasteners and fabricated goods is preferred.
  • Proficiencyin WMS and Microsoft Offices specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • The qualified candidate must alsopossessthe ability to workovertimewhen necessary.
