The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems (SEIS) department is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer. SEIS leads all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area from our Tewksbury MA and Andover MA SEIS department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who work together as a team to architect technical solutions to some of the worlds toughest challenges.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Tewksbury MA.

What You will Do

• Concept and requirements development including decomposition and flow-down

• Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design

• Algorithm optimization research and development; trade studies to bring new advanced features to fielded system

• Functional analysis of real world and test data

• Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System

• Collaborate with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

• Experience with one or more of the following: missiles radar systems requirements software hardware or systems engineering.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in missile software/hardware design systemlevel architecture and full product development lifecycle

• Strong background in flight mission execution (premission analysis test planning) and softwarefirmware interaction

• Experience with radar systems (PATRIOT LTAMDS AN/TPY2 etc.) signal processing and system control

• Skilled in largescale data analysis rootcause analysis and interfacing with external customers; excellent verbal and written communication

• Familiar with MATLAB DOORS and MS Office

The salary range for this role is 107500 USD - 204500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
