Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Tech to support a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical team in a Level 1 Trauma environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cardiac vascular and thoracic procedures demonstrate excellent sterile technique and effectively assist during complex surgeries. First-time travelers with relevant trauma experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain sterile fields for cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
Assist surgeons during complex cardiac vascular and transplant procedures
Prepare and manage surgical instruments supplies and equipment
Receive and prepare pump lines from perfusion for cannulation
Ensure strict adherence to aseptic and infection control protocols
Support surgical teams during emergency and trauma cases
Perform surgical counts and assist with room turnover
Collaborate with surgeons nurses perfusionists and anesthesia teams
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of CVOR Tech experience
Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
Strong background in vascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Preferred Procedure Experience
Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
Valve Replacement
TAVR / TEVAR / EVAR
Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
Heart & Lung Transplant
Aortic Dissection Repair
Mitral Valve Replacement
Carotid Endarterectomy
Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
Robotic-assisted cardiac surgery
Pericardial window procedures
Certifications
BCLS certification (required)
NBSTSA certification (required)
