Job Summary

This Position is Temporary for the Summer of 2026. We are looking for 8 JCHS students to provide mentoring and supervision to incoming 9th grade students enrolled in the Summer Bridge Program. Up to 7 hours per day (8:30-3:00 p.m. with a 30 min lunch).

The Summer Bridge Mentors work under the direct supervision of the Summer Bridge teachers. The person in this position is responsible for assisting with the implementation of the summer bridge curriculum and is expected to participate in all activities of the week. This position is temporary for the Summer of 2026. Dates of the position are August 3-7 with two additional training days to be determined later. The working hours for this position are 8:30am-3:00pm.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  1. Currently enrolled in Junction City High School;
  2. Must be willing to be fingerprinted for a criminal history records check;
  3. Inspired by big challenges driven to learn and grow and dedicated;
  4. Being selected for a project all depends on the business and needs as well as the learning needs and interests of interns;
  5. Students will be responsible for taking ownership of their project and developing a project management plan work breakdown structure and schedule to ensure all requirements and features requested are understood and delivered on time;
  6. High school workers includes all work responsibilities performed by students enrolled in Junction City High School including attendance timeliness completion of work and working in a safe manner.
