Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Manage standard costing job costing and inventory accounting processes.
• Analyze manufacturing variances including labor material overhead scrap and production efficiencies.
• Monitor inventory controls including cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Partner with operations to monitor production costs and improve profitability.
• Support ERP system maintenance and manufacturing financial reporting enhancements.
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor cash flow capital expenditures and working capital performance.

Financial & Operational Accounting

• Manage the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process.
• Maintain the general ledger account reconciliations journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review financial statements management reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulator requirements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
• Manage cash flow forecasting working capital and banking relationships.
• Track key performance indicators (KPI) and provide actionable recommendations.

Leadership & Team Development

• Supervise and mentor daily accounting operations including AP AR payroll and staff accounting functions.
• Establish performance goals and support employee development.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production procurement engineering HR customer service and senior leadership.
• Promote process improvement and accountability throughout the organization.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (Masters preferred but not required).
• At least ten (10) years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing industry or related field preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred but not required.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience. JD Edwards (JDE) is preferred.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred but not required.
• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.

• The Controllers pay range is $100000 to $130000 depending on experience and education.
