Job Summary
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Manage standard costing job costing and inventory accounting processes.
- Analyze manufacturing variances including labor material overhead scrap and production efficiencies.
- Monitor inventory controls including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Partner with operations to monitor production costs and improve profitability.
- Support ERP system maintenance and manufacturing financial reporting enhancements.
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
- Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor cash flow capital expenditures and working capital performance.
Financial & Operational Accounting
- Manage the monthly quarterly and annual financial close process.
- Maintain the general ledger account reconciliations journal entries and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review financial statements management reports and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulator requirements.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
- Manage cash flow forecasting working capital and banking relationships.
- Track key performance indicators (KPI) and provide actionable recommendations.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise and mentor daily accounting operations including AP AR payroll and staff accounting functions.
- Establish performance goals and support employee development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production procurement engineering HR customer service and senior leadership.
- Promote process improvement and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (Masters preferred but not required).
- At least ten (10) years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing industry or related field preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred but not required.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience. JD Edwards (JDE) is preferred.
- QuickBooks Online experience preferred but not required.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity to ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
Additional Information :
- The Controllers pay range is $100000 to $130000 depending on experience and education.
