At NEXT we are proud to own and operate our onsite Nursery at our Leicestershire Head Office. Catering to over 200 children and supported by a dedicated team of 84 professionalsincluding Nursery Room Leaders Nursery Practitioners and Catering staff we provide a vibrant high standard early years setting. We are looking for a proactive Nursery Administrator to be the heartbeat of our operations ensuring a seamless experience for staff parents and children alike.
Standard working hours are Monday-Friday 2:00pm 6:00pm. Please note that full-time availability (9:00am 6:00pm) is required during the first month for induction and initial training
What Youll Take On:
As the Nursery Administrator you are the first point of contact and the primary support pillar for our facility. You will balance technical data management with warm professional communication.
- Maintain the Nursery software systems ensuring all staff and childrens files are accurate and up to date
- Act as the first point of contact for calls and visitors; manage the internal Nursery intranet site and produce high-quality marketing and onboarding documents.
- Manage monthly invoicing for parents liaise with the payroll department and oversee the administration of government funding and local authority reporting.
- Organise Nursery tours and open days manage stationery budgets and order weekly consumables.
Work closely with the team on ad hoc requestsincluding helping coordinate the care of our Nursery pets!
What Youll Bring:
To succeed in this role you should be a people person with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven background in an administrative role with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs Sheets Slides) or Excel
- An understanding of GDPR regulations and confidentiality.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to engage professionally with both internal stakeholders and external parents.
- A self-starter who can plan and prioritise their own workload effectively.
- Previous experience in an Early Years environment or knowledge of Safeguarding practices is highly beneficial.
