Quality systems Specialist

The Quality Technicians primary role is to assist the Production Team in ensuring that all products are produced according to the customers requirements. This role plays a vital part in providing the highest quality product to all customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide support to production.

Perform visual layout dimensional non destructive tests of materials produced inhouse and purchased against specified quality characteristics.

Process rejections and generation non-conformance documentation.

Identify problems in manufacturing and assembly processes. Communicate within the team to provide a solution.

Implement required changes to eliminate process failures pertaining to product quality.

Work closely with method engineers to update work instruction and supporting reference documentation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience with rotating equipment and / or diesel driven equipment

MUST be well organized and able to work accurately with attention to detail

Strong math computer and analytical skills

Self-directed positive attitude

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Service-oriented open to change

Team player organized trustworthy honest responsible

Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting detailed drawings

Proficient in MS Office BPCS is a plus

Must be able to get along with co-workers at all levels

Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand written instructions

Must possess a strong desire to learn

Must be persistent in the pursuit of required remedies to achieve the highest possible Quality Standards

Must be able to articulate the importance of process requirements as they relate to product quality to all assemblers

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times (occasionally).

Qualifications

• Associate degree or High school degree with equivalent experience
• Minimum 0-3 years of experience in a Quality Technician role in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
