Workshop Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Workshop Technician to join our team in Edmonton this role you will be responsible for maintaining repairing and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery. You will work in a fast-paced workshop environment ensuring all equipment operates at peak performance while adhering to strict safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise organizational skills and a commitment to precision and excellence.

• Perform routine maintenance repairs and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical workshop equipment
• Diagnose equipment issues using analytical problem-solving techniques and implement corrective actions promptly
• Operate calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy quality and compliance with specifications
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of repairs performance and testing results
• Organize tools parts inventory and work areas to support efficiency cleanliness and safety
• Follow safety protocols and collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines

Qualifications :

Experience Requirements:

• Trade certificate or technical diploma can be through education and experience working with live electrical equipment. Formal electrical training highly preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance/automation/flow control
• Able to read and understand electrical pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Actuation instrumentation and valve experience is preferred; detailed knowledge of actuators especially Rotork is an asset
• Proven experience in equipment maintenance repair or troubleshooting in a workshop or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
