Laboratory Technician Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Emeryville, CA

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Emeryville CA location.  This position is full-time with a Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm shift and possible overtime and weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

Regular attendance and punctuality

Greets and assists laboratory clientele

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods practices and programs. These include:

• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Receiving and logging in samples using a LIMS system
• Assisting with Environmental Health and Safety and Quality Assurance duties
• Recording and reporting any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine maintenance

Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and Quality assurance standards

Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area

Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods

Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Some college chemistry biology or geology
• Previous production-oriented or food service work helpful (awareness attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet deadlines)
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Reading writing and speaking skills
• Problem solving skills
• Customer service skills
• Team participation and meeting management skills
• Time management and organization skills
• Use calculator/mathematical formulas and concepts
• Complete work within time and quality constraints
• Work independently following written or verbal instructions
• Cooperate and coordinate both orally and in writing

Additional Information :

Compensation range: $20 - $22 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

• Position is Full-time Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM shift with overtime or weekend work as needed. 
• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Emeryville CA
