Job Summary
Under the authority of the Site Supervisor the incumbent receives the different types of metals makes an initial classification and routes it to the appropriate locations:
- Greet customers in a courteous manner following our procedures and requirements.
- Proceed to the unloading of the customers vehicles.
- Sort the different metals according to their characteristics.
- Inspect customers metals.
- Identify the right type of metal for each product and validate its quality.
- Weigh the metals on the scale.
- Inform the customer on the price of the metal received.
- Perform data entry in the RECY software.
- Work with different types of machinery (Forklift).
- Prepare receiving/shipping biases (tickets).
- Assist with torch cutting as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the premises.
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications :
- - One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
- - Knowledge of metal recycling (major asset).
- - Fork lift experience (major asset).
Desired skills:
- Resourcefulness and dynamic
- Health and safety awareness;
- Very good management of priorities.
Ability to work in a team
Additional Information :
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Full time permanent position.
- Work inside and outside.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
- Standing and walking most of the shift.
