CTX-Ray Technologist Overseas Assignment

Location: Iraq
Schedule: Full-Time Overseas Deployment Assignment

The CT/X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray and CT procedures while ensuring patient safety radiation protection accurate documentation and compliance with clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ordered X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging exams.
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure settings.
• Use immobilization devices and proper positioning techniques.
• Explain procedures and respond to patient questions.
• Document imaging services in EMR and department records.
• Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols.
• Use shielding devices and proper exposure techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Follow contrast media and emergency response protocols when needed.
• Maintain a safe clean and compliant work environment.
• Participate in mass casualty exercises and emergency response activities.
• Complete required compliance and regulatory training.
• Collaborate with physicians nurses and healthcare staff.
• Perform additional assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications :

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Radiologic Technologist experience including 6 months within the last year.
• Current unrestricted radiologic technologist license or ARRT certification required.
• Current ARRT CT certification/registration required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a diploma certificate or associate degree.
• U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school certification (4R0X1 68P HM-8451) may satisfy education requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging procedures.
• Must read write and speak English.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card holder required.
• Valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months remaining before expiration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT U.S. Government security clearance.
• Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the assignment duration.
• Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on military installations or government healthcare contracts.
• Prior government subcontractor or prime contractor experience.
• Active U.S. Government clearance preferred.
• Experience supporting emergency response or mass casualty exercises.
