Job Summary
Position Overview
The LCSW provides behavioral health services in a deployed setting delivering counseling crisis intervention and treatment planning to support mission readiness and overall wellbeing. You will work within a multidisciplinary team in a structured high-impact environment.
Location: Iraq (DOS/DOD Facilities)
Schedule: Full-time deployment-based
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and diagnose mental health conditions
- Provide individual family and group therapy using evidence-based methods
- Respond to behavioral health crises with immediate intervention
- Develop and manage treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients on mental health and available resources
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver integrated care
Qualifications :
Requirements & Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active unrestricted LCSW license
- 3 years recent experience (including 6 months within past year)
- BLS certification
- EMR and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to meet deployment medical/physical requirements
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid U.S. Passport (18 months remaining)
- Ability to obtain/maintain MRPT security clearance
- Fluent in English and able to deploy to Iraq
Preferred Qualifications
- Military or government contractor experience
- Overseas or austere environment experience
- Background in trauma or crisis care
