To Command and Integrate Global Operations across all domains to enable UK national objectives |
Responsibilities: 1. Act as lead desk officer and provide FP guidance to all current and emerging Africa and Indo Pacific operational theatres. 2. Deploy to operational theatres in order to conduct reconnaissance and assurance visits as directed and to produce OSW as appropriate. 3. Act as the lead for advice and guidance on Counter-CBRN policy processes and structures into the HQ 4. Ensure consistent engagement with relevant PJHQ Divisions external agencies Operation HQs NGOs OGDs other HQs and FLCs. 5. Manage training deficiencies and waiver applications submitted by the single Services to determine aggregated risk held by the Joint Commander. 6. Maintain and update the J3 FP Africa FP Directive to maintain Theatre Entry Standard currency and accuracy. 7. Provide generic J3 support to crisis response and coverage for other FP desk officers (ME/IP & EA2) when they are deployed or away. 8. All other tasks as directed by the CoC. |
Pre Appt Trg: - Min Five-day handover - including STRAP and PJHQ induction.
- In date RN ITRs on arrival.
- NATO FP Course provided by NATO Centre of Excellence in Oberammergau.

Domestic Considerations: Support a J3 FP on call duty weekend rotation with a requirement to be back at PJHQ within two hours. Conduct regular deployments of up to two weeks in duration in order to conduct FP reconnaissance and assurance reviews; locations may be austere and under operational restrictions. Operational demands may require work outside of normal working hours. Heavy reliance on SECRET CIS in execution of essential duties requires routine access and is restrictive on a Working From Home posture. |
