    Robbinsdale Academy/ Highview
    Program Assistant Job level 6 (Salary: $51406 - $66139) plus full-time benefits
    M-F 8:00am - 4:30pm (2 evenings/ weekends required)
    52 weeks

    SUMMARY
    This position reports to the Program Director of Community Enrichment and Engagement. Under general supervision coordinates and supports Full-Service Community Schools; develops programs through community partnerships by collaboration resource sharing and data tracking.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

    • Establish a school leadership team as defined by the Full-Service Community Schools grant.
    • Conduct needs assessment and asset mapping to inform the development of a FSCS implementation plan.
    • Coordinates and supports the implementation and alignment of FSCS to needs of the community and the Unified District Vision.
    • Conducts ongoing resource mapping and needs assessments to inform program deliverables.
    • Seek out and recruit new community partners to meet the needs identified in the FSCS site plan.
    • Collaborates with principal teachers students and families on implementation priorities and logistics for the purpose of fulfilling requirements for full-service community schools.
    • Facilitates collaboration and cross-referrals between the school district families and community partners.
    • Participates in community committees and events to increase community engagement efforts.
    • Coordinates daily program operations; evaluates and analyzes program issues and recommends and implements solutions.
    • Promotes and markets the work of Full-Service Community Schools to stakeholders using various communication platforms and tools.
    • Completes and coordinates special projects and research assignments.
    • Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with students clients visitors and RAS staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment
    • Collect data and maintain records in compliance with FSCS requirements and district data privacy practices.
    • Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
    • At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish requirements of the position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education Training and Experience Guidelines

    Preferred but not required: AA degree or completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in Education Behavioral Sciences or education related to position assignment; AND two (2) years of experience working in community program strategy and development; OR an equivalent combination of education training and experience as determined by Human Resources.


    Knowledge of:

    • Applicable policies procedures and regulations covering specific areas of assignment.
    • Grant and project reporting including data collection and evaluation.
    • Community and family engagement strategies.
    • Local community resources regional community services programs and regional training programs.
    • Strategy development service implementation and program evaluation efforts.
    • Personal computers utilizing standard software and specialized RAS and state agency software applications and procedures.
    • Principles of record keeping and records management.
    • Safety rules and regulations.

    Skill in:

    • Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
    • Identifying problems and opportunities and developing solutions.
    • Planning organizing and coordinating the work of assigned staff.
    • Assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks projects and demands.
    • Providing effective customer service and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public.
    • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers clients and community agencies.
    • Effective verbal and written communication.


    LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

    A valid MN State Drivers License may be required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    Work is performed in a standard office environment which requires occasionally lifting such articles as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and heavy phone usage.
