CGL The Link in Derby City is seeking a passionate and motivated Young Peoples Resilience Worker to join our dynamic Children Young People and Families Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children young people and young adults who are experimenting with or impacted by substance use helping them build resilience and make informed positive choices.

Young Peoples Resilience Worker
Service: CGL The Link Derby City
Location: Derby
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Fulltime)

Responsibilities
About the Role
As a Young Peoples Resilience Worker you will manage a caseload of children young people and young adults providing evidencebased interventions linked to substance use emotional wellbeing safeguarding and exploitation risk.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team taking a proactive role in supporting young people at risk of exploitation and safeguarding harm. Case management relationshipbased practice and early intervention will be central to your work.
The role includes delivering:
- Triage and comprehensive assessments
- Individual care planning
- Onetoone interventions
- Group work and digital interventions
- Brief advice structured treatment and psychosocial support
Delivery will take place flexibly across community venues homes schools colleges universities and CGL bases ensuring accessibility and engagement.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in youth substance misuse safeguarding or related fields who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage young people with complex needs providing advice support and structured interventions to improve health and wellbeing.
- Build strong therapeutic relationships and deliver personalised support plans.
- Complete highquality assessments and develop clear outcomefocused care plans.
- Work closely with the Safeguarding Lead Team Leader and wider MDT to escalate and manage risks effectively.
- Lead and contribute to work with young people at risk of exploitation.
- Strengthen partnerships with local children young people and family services including adult drug and alcohol services.
- Advocate for young people by contributing to multiagency meetings such as Child Protection Conferences Team Around the Child meetings and Complex Case Reviews.
- Take a proactive outreachfocused approach to engagement across Derby City.
