Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Geriatric
Salary Range: $28.03 - $30.81 per hour
Working Hours: 35 hours per week Monday - Friday no weekend rotation
As a Physical Therapist Assistant you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to help patients regain movement and manage pain. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans for geriatric patients
- Assist patients with exercises and activities to improve mobility strength and balance
- Monitor and track patient progress adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to continue at home
- Communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality
Requirements:
- Associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a geriatric setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Physical stamina to perform job duties including standing bending and lifting
