Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)--- Geriatric
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday no weekend rotation
Salary: $28-35 per hour
As a PTA you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week Monday-Friday and no weekend rotation required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients including exercises modalities and manual therapy techniques
- Monitor and document patient progress including range of motion strength and functional abilities
- Educate patients on proper techniques and exercises to improve their condition and prevent future injuries
- Communicate with Physical Therapists about patient progress and any changes in treatment plans
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning during therapy sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care such as physicians and occupational therapists
Requirements:
- Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state PTA license
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with exercises and transfers
- Attention to detail and ability to follow treatment plans accurately
- Prior experience in a clinical setting preferred
