Key Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents to help them achieve long-term health benefits and improve their overall mobility and quality of life.
- Evaluate residents conditions and develop individualized physical rehabilitation plans.
- Help residents improve mobility and functional independence.
- Relieve pain using exercises hands-on therapy stretching and physical therapy devices.
- Assist residents in using physical therapy equipment effectively.
- Guide residents through therapy tasks monitoring their performance and progress.
- Inform residents about what they should expect at different stages of their recovery.
- Supervise physical therapy assistants when required.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- Current New York State PT License.
- Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.
