Senior Engineer Highway Design

Role description:

• Good understanding and Knowledge of international codes like DMRB AASHTO and Euro codes along with various other International Codal Practices and Standards Design Standards of Local County Councils
• Highway Design experience using Open Roads Designer and good expertise in 3D modelling for proposals and Detail design projects.
• Roadway Design for various stages of Design-Build Projects Detailed design of Roadway corridor Detailed drawings construction support drawings Design Reviews Project Management and Design Management.
• Experience in MS Office software including Word Excel and PowerPoint.

Role accountabilities:

• Responsible for managing technical aspects of smaller and/or less complex tasks or components of larger tasks meeting financial quality timeframe and health and safety objectives.
• Responsible for end-to-end project design and delivery for Highway design-related tasks.
• Preparation / Finalization of various highway-related drawings at various stages of projects.
• Computation of quantities.
• Preparation of design reports.
• Ability to understand existing condition reports and surveys.
• Coaching and mentoring team members.
• Ability to lead and design projects.
• Should have handled a minimum of 1 Design projects-overseas preferably for the UK/US/CAN/EU/ME/AUS in the Infrastructure Business.
• Software: Navisworks Infraworks Open Roads
• Excellent Soft Skills related to People Management (desirable)
• Strong mentoring Skills Ability to build teams (desirable)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education - Graduation - Civil or Post Graduation - MTech Civil/Transportation. Minimum 6 years of experience in a Design Consulting Environment
• Strong understanding of DMRB/AASHTO codes
• Software Open Roads Designer. All others like Civil 3D AutoCAD Infraworks and Navisworks would be added advantages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English) including technical report writing.
• Organized and proactive (self-starter).
