CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Performs tests on routine and complex samples using LC-MS/MS GC-MS HS-GC-FID and GC-MS/MS instrumentation and SPE and LLE sample preparation techniques.
2. Reviews patient sample results and all QC results.
3. Analyzes patient samples to detect and quantify drugs narcotics poisons or other controlled substances using instrumental chemical techniques including (but now limited to) gas and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.
4. Utilizes software platforms such as ChemStation and MassHunter to operate instruments and Sunquest UChart and Microsoft Office.
5. Performs routine maintenance on instrumentation and equipment.
6. Assists with laboratory quality assurance and quality control functions including QC tracking and routine laboratory duties.
7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree in relevant field required
Certification and Licensing:
Vaild State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements
Experience:
No previous experience required
